DONATE A PREMIUM
When you make a pledge you can choose a thank you gift, what
we call a premium. Station premiums include things like T-shirts,
ceramic mugs, and classical music CDs.
In keeping with our status as the most fun pledge drive in
Public Radio, our listeners also donate premium gifts, about
2,000 of them each year. The listener-donated premiums include
homemade strudel, lodging at a restored chalet in Glacier
National Park, hand-tied flies, a raft trip, chocolate cheesecake,
a pack-goat, and many other marvelous things.
How did listeners begin donating premiums? About 20 years
ago, a listener called who could not afford to give money,
but offered to rake someone's yard if they would make a donation.
Twenty years and 35,000 premiums later the tradition continues.
