Musicians' Spotlight for April 30, 2013 1:30 PM - 1:58 PM
Today's Highlight: Erin and The Project – Erin is the melody, Paul is the rhythm, and The Project is the combining of the two. Featuring the dyadic cyclone that is Erin Ezekiel (vocals/keys) and Pau Ezekiel (drums/percussion), Erin & The Project creates a hypnotic sound. A blend of soul, blues, jazz, R&B, and rock genres forming a category referred to as “soul-ternative”. They compile lyrics that peer into positive thinking and retrospectives, while integrating soulful vocals, melodic piano, and strong rhythms throughout.

Shawn Colvin, Patty Larkin, and Leo Kottke have all stopped by the Montana Public Radio studios to play a little and talk with Brian Kopper and John Floridis. Performers talk about the inspiration behind their music and what it's like to both create and perform the music.
Montana artists like Zoe Wood and Wilson & McKee get equal time. Each week, hosts Brian Kopper and John Floridis, composers and performers themselves, give listeners a glimpse into the lives and art of the modern day troubadour.
