Today's Highlight: Today’s University and Community Activities are partly sponsored by Helena Food Share. Montana Natural History Center invites the public to attend “Backcountry Medicine: Montana Local Plants” which will discuss local Montana plant species and their potential medicinal uses in the backcountry. This presentation will be held on Wednesday, February 13th at 7pm at Montana Natural History Center in Missoula. For more information, call 327-0405.

Missoula Art Museum will host a Teen Artist Workshop: Printmaking Design with Miles Lusk. This is a free, drop-in workshop for community teenagers. Pizza and snacks provided. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, February 13th from 4-6pm at Missoula Art Museum. For more information, call 728-0447.

A free quilting workshop will be held for quilters of all ages and abilities. Participants are asked to take a project he/she is working on or would like to start, scissors, straight pins, needles and thread, and fabric swatches if possible. The Bitterroot Chapter of National Active and Retired Federal Employees invites NARFE members, guests, and anyone interested in a membership to attend the February meeting where Russ Lawrence will give a presentation titled, “Hindsight from a High Site”, which will discuss his time in Peru as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Strengthening the Circle, A Native Nonprofit Leadership Program aimed at building the capacities of experienced and emerging nonprofit organizations that respond to the needs of American Indian youth and their families.
