The Sanders County Arts Council invites everyone to a musical concert given by UM Professor, Dennis Alexander, as well as piano instructor Molly Morrison and her students. Lewis and Clark County invites business owners and managers in the tri-county area to a new series of workshops on green business certification and marketing strategies. Justin Angle, UM assistant-professor of marketing will offer green marketing strategies to help you promote your resource efficiency efforts. The first workshop will be held tomorrow, February 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the Helena Area Chamber of Commerce, 225 Cruse Avenue, and there is no cost to this program. The YWCA of Great Falls invites the public to join them for lunch this Friday, February 8th from noon to 1:00 o’clock for an informational session given by Executive Director, Janet Duffy, on the ways the YWCA will serve the community. Jan McKeown will also discuss the upcoming International One Billion Rising movement and the local candlelight vigil and memorial dedication that will take place on February 14th. The UM Outdoor Program and the Nature-Link Institute will host John Roskelley who will recount his 1976 American /Indian Nanda Devi mountain climbing expedition, the first successful ascent of the Nanda Devi’s northwest face on the Indian Himalaya mountains. The Montana Natural History Center in Missoula invites kids and families to join their miniNaturalist Pre-K program which will begin tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. The program is an exploration of the natural world through hands-on games, activities, and crafts. The MT Natural History Center is located at120 Hickory Street and you can call them at 327-0405 for more information on this, and other activities at the center.
The UM Dance Program will conduct 12-week sessions of creative movement for children ages 3 ˝ to 10. The sessions are divided into three different age groups and will begin February 7th in the ballet studio downstairs in the UM PARTV Center on the UM campus in Missoula.
