Reflections West for January 22, 2013 8:30 PM - 8:35 PM [Program Website]
Today's Highlight: Rachel Schaffer reflects on what it is to have a “Western education” and where that educations fall short regarding Native cultures. She pairs her thoughts with passage from Craig Johnson’s novel Death Without Company
Reflections West is a weekly 5-minute program that presents the reflections of writers and scholars on the American West. These thinkers pair their own thoughts with a passage from literature and history.
Reflections West’s aim is simple: to circulate—as widely as possible—wonderful passages of literature and history of the West in a thoughtful and thought-provoking way.
The program is produced and hosted by University of Montana professors, Lisa Simon and David Moore.
