Today's Highlight: "Re-imagined: The Music of Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea" Pianists Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea are kindred spirits – imaginative composers who have fused and redefined the sound of jazz. And we re-imagine works from both of their songbooks – the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with guest Bobby Hutcherson play the music of Herbie Hancock, and the Manhattan Transfer with Jon Hendricks interprets Chick Corea.
Jazz at Lincoln Center's Peabody Award–winning radio series, Jazz From Lincoln Center, is hosted by Wynton Marsalis and broadcast weekly to over 240 public radio affiliates nationwide through the Jazz Satellite Network. The show features the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra along with contemporary jazz composers and performers.
