Today's Highlight: Darby’s Annual Christmas Parade will be held this Saturday, December 1st at 10:00 am – rain or shine. A visit from Santa and Bigfoot are expected. Additional activities include free carriage rides, a chili cook-off, and a craft fair at the Darby Club House. For those who may want to participate in the parade or cook-off – or – for additional information, please call Holly at 396-6045.

The Annual Blackfoot Bazaar at the Potomac-Greenough Community Center will be held on Sunday, December 2nd from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Bazaar will be filled with unique goodies for everyone on your holiday shopping list. Contact Janie at 244-6000 if you’d like directions to the center or for other information.

The Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art in Great Falls invites the public to an opening reception and lecture for the exhibit titled, “A Timeless Town in Time – Butte, Montana; The Photography of David J. Spear. The museum will open at 5:30 on Thursday, November 29th with the art share presentation by Mr. Spear beginning at 6:00 p.m. Call 727-8255 if you’d like additional information regarding this exhibit.

To benefit the All-Abilities playground for Missoula, Sussex School will hold a Holiday Handmade and Upcycled Craft Fair this Friday from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m. at the school, located behind the Good Food Store. The sale will include felted wool ornaments, essential oil hand sanitizers, baked treats, and much more. To make a donation or for more information, please call 549-8327.

The University of Montana’s Annual Christmas Craft Art Fair will take place this Thursday through Saturday in the University Center Atrium on the University of Montana campus in Missoula. The fair is free and open to the public and will run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Thursday and Friday and from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday. World class expedition kayaker and PhD scientist, Doug Ammons, will present “Riverscapes,” a voyage into the geology and shaping of human culture by rivers. Dr. Ammons was recently named by “Outside Magazine” as “one of the top ten game changers in adventure since 1900.” The lecture will be given at the Ravalli County Museum in Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29th. The University of Montana’s Art Education Department in Missoula will present an opening reception for their Flagship Projects from Lowell Elementary School, Washington Middle School, and Hellgate High School this Friday from 6:00 – 7:00 o’clock in room 201 of the Fine Ares Building on the UM campus in Missoula. The exhibit will run through December 4th and gallery hours are from 8:00 am – 5:00 p.m. For more information, call 243-4970.
