Today's Highlight: Melissa Mylchreest reflects on the mythology of
the American West, pairing it with her poem “The
Gap-tooth Girl,” which won the Obsidian award
for Poetry in the High Desert Journal
Reflections West is a weekly 5-minute program that presents the reflections of writers and scholars on the American West. These thinkers pair their own thoughts with a passage from literature and history.
Reflections West’s aim is simple: to circulate—as widely as possible—wonderful passages of literature and history of the West in a thoughtful and thought-provoking way.
The program is produced and hosted by University of Montana professors, Lisa Simon and David Moore.
