Today's Highlight: Today’s University and Community Calendar is partly sponsored by Montana Natural History Center. The Institute on Ecosystems invites the public to attend a seminar in their Rough Cut Series. A speaker from the UM Flathead Lake Biological Station will present twice this week. The first of these two presentations will be held today at 4:10pm in the UM University Center Theater; the second will be held Wednesday, October 3rd in Gaines Hall on the MSU campus in Bozeman. The Mansfield Center Fall 2012 Brown Bag Lecture Series will continue this week. “Studying Climate Change in Vietnam: Shared Impacts on Water, Forestry and Ecotourism” will be presented on Wednesday, October 3rd beginning at noon in the Mansfield Center of the Mansfield Library on the UM campus. “Wolf, Moose, Philosopher: Environmental Ethics and the Isle Royale Wolf-Moose Project” will be held on Thursday, October 4th beginning at noon in the University Center Theater on the UM campus. Flathead Valley Community College invites the public to Chef’s Table Dinner, presented by the students of the Culinary Institute of Montana at FVCC. The event will take place on Friday, November 2nd at 6pm in the FVCC Instructional Kitchen on the FVCC campus in Kalispell. Registration is required. The Disability and Aging Alliance of Missoula will host a Missoula County Legislative Candidate Forum where the public can learn where the legislative candidates stand on issues that affect seniors and people with disabilities. The forum will be held tomorrow, October 2nd from 4-6pm at the Holiday Inn Parkside in Downtown Missoula. For more information, call 728-1630.
