Reflections West for September 25, 2012 8:30 PM - 8:35 PM [Program Website]
Today's Highlight: Annick Smith, a writer and filmmaker living in Missoula Montana, reflects on the ways of knowing from human and animal perspectives. Smith pairs her reflection with a traditional chant from the Pima Indians from Arizona called “Dog Song"
Reflections West is a weekly 5-minute program that presents the reflections of writers and scholars on the American West. These thinkers pair their own thoughts with a passage from literature and history.
Reflections West’s aim is simple: to circulate—as widely as possible—wonderful passages of literature and history of the West in a thoughtful and thought-provoking way.
The program is produced and hosted by University of Montana professors, Lisa Simon and David Moore.
