1-Minute Missoula, a festival of one minute films about Missoula made by Missoulians, seeks submissions for this year’s event. Participants can submit up to three one-minute films shot on mobile devices, compact cameras, and other devices. Submissions must be one minute or less, in a digital format. This year’s theme is “Signs of Life.” Deadline to submit is Friday, Aug. 24th. For more information visit 1MinuteMissoula.org.
The Missoula Urban Transportation District would like to remind Mountain Line passengers that new bus route schedules are available today. The new route schedules are part of the continuing effort to increase Mountain Line’s efficiency. Notable route changes include Route 1 serving downtown Missoula, the University District, and Southgate Mall which will operated every 15 min. throughout the day. The North Valley Public Library hosts Story Time each Wednesday from 11 am to 12:30 pm. All children up to 7 years old are welcome. It’s never too early to introduce your child to the joy of reading. Tuesday, August 28 Governor Schweitzer will host Montana’s first Governor’s Innovation Day in Bozeman at Montana State University. The day will include a high level panel that will discuss investing in and fostering Montana’s innovation economy, as well as the Governor’s Innovative Business Awards Dinner where selected Montana companies will be recognized for their excellence in innovation and the contributions their companies have made on Montana’s business economy and job creation.
