Today's Highlight: Join Tom Engelmann for another edition of “Unsung Heroes, Influential but Overlooked Masters of Modern Music” as he salutes the late Donald “Duck” Dunn. Duck was a bass guitarist, session musician, record producer, and songwriter notable for his 1960s recordings with Booker T. & the M.G.'s and as a session bassist for Stax Records, which specialized in blues and gospel-infused southern soul and Memphis soul music styles. Although he backed luminaries like Otis Redding, Bill Withers, Wilson Pickett, Tom Petty and even Herbie Mann, he was known primarily as a member of the Blues Brothers band

A new one-hour music special or music documentary program each week. From local and national producers.
