The National Center for Appropriate Technology in Butte invites the public to join a tour to learn about renewable energy projects, how homeowners are increasing their energy independence with solar panels and how the Butte Food Bank is cutting costs with energy conservation measures and solar electricity. You’ll also receive information about the tax credits, rebates, grants, and loans. The tour will begin at 9:30 am this Friday, July 20th. Please preregister by calling 443-7272.
Everyone is invited to explore the children’s garden at the Daly Mansion when the Hamilton Garden Club presents “Kids in the Garden” on Saturday, July 21st from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Activities included garden-related games and crafts, music by the Whizpops, and a giant birthday cake to celebrate the 10th year of Kids in the Garden. The A.L. Swanson Gallery in Helena invites the public to the opening of the new exhibition, “Sandra Dal Pogetto: New Drawings and Collages.” An opening reception is planned for this Friday, July 20th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the gallery, located at 863 Great Northern Blvd. Call the gallery with any questions at 443-3342.

A Missoula Equestrian Park BBQ will be held on Sunday, July 22nd from 5:00 to 7:30 pm at the Equestrian Park, 3500 North Ave. West in Missoula. It’s suggested you bring a blanket or chairs as a limited number of tables and chairs will be provided. A dedication of the Martin Briggeman 4-H Arena is planned during the picnic. The Southwest MT Art Council’s Dinner in Jaycee Park in downtown Dillon will be held on Thursday, July 19th, beginning at 6:00 PM.
