Today's Highlight: Today’s University and Community Activities are partly sponsored by “Fire Ready Montana”, an initiative from the Governor’s Office of Community Service. Bitterroot Public Library will host a workshop in haiku in its various forms. The Haiku Workshop will take place Tuesday, June 26th from 7-8pm in the West Meeting Room of the Bitterroot Public Library, Hamilton. For more information, call 363-2435.
Vendors and craftspeople are wanted for the 2nd annual Big Hole River Day in Melrose on July 21st. Big Hole River Day is an all day event hosted by the Big Hole River Foundation including a pancake breakfast, vendor booths, music and BBQ pig roast dinner. If you are interested in vending, call the Foundation at 560-2677.
The Five Valley Kennel Club AKC Dog Show continues today and tomorrow! Dogs compete in conformation, obedience, and rally. The show goes on today and tomorrow from 8am-5pm at the Missoula County Fairgrounds. The Canine Eye Registry Foundation is holding a walk-in clinic at the Fairgrounds today until 4pm.
The Boys and Girls Club of Missoula County will host its Playhouse and Pet Palace Auction Fundraiser Finale this week. Mayor Engen will speak, Al from KYSS FM will emcee, and Red Robin will provide food and beverages. The Fundraiser Finale will be held Wednesday, June 27th from 5-7pm at the Southgate Mall main entrance, Missoula. For more information, call 239-6505.
The Flathead County Library System invites children and teens in Flathead County to read, enjoy fun events, and win prizes this summer by joining the Summer Reading Program at any FCLS location. The program runs through August 18th. For more information call 758-5822.
