A St. Patrick’s Day Dinner will be held this Saturday, March 17th from noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Seeley Lake Senior Center. A silent auction, door prizes, and games are also planned for the afternoon. Call Rachael at 677-3527 for more information.
The American Indian Business Leaders’ Chapters at Big Sky High School and at The University of Montana in Missoula invite the public to their Spring Carnival and Craft Fair that will be held this Friday night from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Hawthorne Elementary School Gym, 2835 South 3rd Street West. The Montana Department of Commerce, the Montana Board of Housing, NeighborWorks Montana and the Headwaters RC&D Area, Inc. in Butte will hold a Homebuyer’s Education class March 20 and 21st at the Thornton Building, 65 East Broadway. Participants will receive information on budgeting and credit, the mortgage process, homeowners insurance and special affordable financing options. The University of Montana’s Campus Recreation as well as Missoulians on Bicycles and Adventure Cycling Association invite the public to a free screening of the documentary film, “With My Own Two Wheels: The Bicycle as a Vehicle for Change Around the World.” The film documents how the bicycle can change the world – one pedal stroke at a time. The screening will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15th in room 131 of the Charles H. Clapp Building on the UM mountain campus. For more information, call 721-1776.
The Montana Natural History Center in Missoula invites the public to a presentation on how to start your spring plants from seeds. Botanist Marilyn Marler will provide all the tricks and tips you need to get your garden up and running early in the season, as soon as the weather permits. The class will be this Thursday evening from 5:30 – 7:30 at the Fort Missoula Native Plant Gardens, under the big silver water tower at Fort Missoula.
