Today's Highlight: Future West of Bozeman will conduct a workshop on the impacts of flooding and how communities and landowners can respond. The workshop will be held tomorrow, from 1:00 – 5:30 and the Burns Technology Center on the MSU campus. For more information or to register, call 560-2677.

The Southwest Montana Arts Council is sponsoring an artwalk in downtown Dillon this Friday, November 4th from 5 – 8 pm. Local businesses in Dillon will stay open late that evening, offer refreshments, and host area artists whose works will be on display. The Montana A Capella Society will host a pancake supper fundraiser tomorrow night, November 3rd from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Corvallis United Methodist Church at the corner of Eastside Highway and Old Cemetery Road. Call 360-5591 for complete information.

Three days of psychic and healing services will be held at Between the World, 205 West Main Street in Hamilton. This fund-raising event for those in hospice care, extended care facilities or who are chronically ill will be held beginning at 2:00 p.m. this Friday, November 4th through the 6th. A Forestry Mini-College will be conducted on the campus of The University of Montana on Saturday, November 12th. This is a one-day educational event for family forest landowners, forestry professionals and everyone interested in forestry. It will feature a series of short classes on a variety of forestry topics. To register by the deadline Friday, November 4th, call Martin at 243-2775.

This Friday, November 4th, Missoula’s homeless community will release for sale its first biannual art magazine entitled, “30 Days In”. Local bands will perform in conjunction with this sale which will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Zootown Arts Community Center. Contact Jennifer at 381-4432 if you’d like more information.


The University of Montana’s Women’s Resource Center in Missoula will host the annual Take Back the Night March this this Friday, November 4th at 4:15. Meet at the Grizzly Bear statue on campus. The march will end with a rally and reception at 6:00 p.m. in Caras Park. For more information, call Brittany at 243-4153.

As part of the First Friday Art Event in downtown Missoula, Habitat for Humanity of Missoula will host a photography exhibit of the Habitat homes under construction in Missoula this year, its 20th anniversary year.
