The Triple Creek Quilt Guilt of Drummond will hold a quilt show this Saturday from 10 to 5 and on Sunday from 10 to 4 in the Drummond High School gym. Featured at the quilt show are a silent auction, a raffle and free refreshments. For ticket prices and other information, call Sheila at 288-3813.
The Montana Natural History Center in Missoula invites the public to a 7:00 o’clock lecture TONIGHT that will be given by plant ecologist Nan Vance titled, “Friends or Robbers: Pollinators and Plants of the Columbia Basin.” Vance will discuss the wild world of pollination ecology at the Center, located at 120 Hickory Street. Then, on Thursday night at 5:30, you can learn how native plant gardens are designed to encourage creative play. The demonstrations will be held at the Fort Missoula Native Plant Gardens. A food drive will be held at the Missoula Maze, 1010 Clements Road on Thursday, September 29th from noon to 7:00 p.m. For admission to the maze, a suggested donation is one bag of food per group or family.
Citizens are invited to a celebration of the 5 year anniversary of the Open Space Bond in Missoula. Participants will have the opportunity to view photos and maps of the bond projects and meet with Open Space staff, citizen advisory board members, landowners and land trust partners.
