The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Flathead County invites the public to a round robin cribbage tournament for two-person teams. The tournament begins at 2:00 pm this Saturday, September 17th at the Village Greens Community Center, 195 W. Nicklaus in Kalispell. Call 758-5712 for entry fees and other details.
The National Parks Conservation Association will host an end-of-summer celebration of photography, stories, and music this Saturday night, September 17th. The evening features photography by Steven Gnam and the voices of the Crown of the Continent Choir. The program begins at 7:00 pm at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish. The American Diabetes Association will conduct their annual Tour de Cure on Saturday, September 17, beginning at 7:00 am. The Flathead Valley Community College Culinary First-Year Interns will host a Chef’s Table Friday night, September 16th, beginning at 6:00 pm. A free public lecture on the science of marijuana will be given by Dr. Katie George of the UM department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences tomorrow night, September 15th. The lecture begins at 7:00 pm and will be held at the Press Box in Missoula. For more information, call 646-6277.
The Montana Organic Association will conduct a tour of the Ten Spoon Vineyard in Missoula tomorrow night, September 15th at 5:00 pm. Among a number of things, the Association will explain why growing organically is vital for the sustainability of our health and the environment.
