Today's Highlight: Today’s announcements are sponsored by Artists Along the Bitterroot. Holding their annual studio tour featuring over two dozen studios and galleries. June 4th and 5th, at 10:30 a.m. until 6 pm with an opening reception on Friday, June 3rd at 6pm at the River’s Mist Gallery in Stevensville. The public is invited to an opening reception of recent drawings and paintings by artist Rebecca Weed. The reception will be held during the Uptown Art Walk this Thursday, June 2nd from 5:00 – 9:00 pm at the Venus Rising Espresso House and Gallery in Butte. Then on Friday, June 3rd Venus Rising will host an Open Stage Night from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. This will be an opportunity for all Butte area residents to enjoy local talent. The North Valley Public Library in Stevensville will host the Bitterroot Range Band during First Friday festivities. An Exhibition Opening and Artists’ Reception for ceramic artists Julia Galloway and Beth Lo will take place this Friday evening, June 3rd from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Missoula Art Museum, 335 North Pattee in Missoula. The artists’ gallery talk will begin at 7:00 p.m. Reception music will be provided by Salsa Loca and a beer garden will be available from the Flathead Lake Brewing Co. The Milltown Garden Patch, a non-profit community garden will hold its Second Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser on Friday, June 3rd from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the ZooTown Brew, 121 W Broadway in Missoula. Live entertainment will be provided by Ugly Pony and The Dodgy Mountain Men. Proceeds will go to the development of an educational program for students of Bonner School.
