Preserve this summer’s harvest by attending the “Plan to Can 2011” workshop offered by Kathy Revello at the Missoula Country Extension Office held Wednesday, April 27th, 2011. Two times are available 10am-noon and 6 to 8pm. The class is free, but please bring along a nonperishable food item for the Missoula food bank. Please register by april 25th by calling 258-4206 and leaving you name, phone number, and which class time you wish to attend.

Do IT IN 72! A 3 day-film contest where amateur filmmakers write, direct, and shoot a short film in 3 days. Starts Friday April 29th until Monday March 2nd . At 500 N. Higgins in Missoula. The Grand prize is $500 sponsored by MCAT. Register by April 28th by calling MCAT at 542-6228.

The Sierra Club will be holding a panel discussion titled “Coal’s Assault on Our Health and the Planet” including presentations from 2007 Nobel Peace Prize recipient Sr. Steve Running, Attourney Jory Ruggiero of Western Justice Advocates, and policy specialist Jessica Finn Coven of Climate Solutions. Panel will be moderated by Anne Hidges of the Montana Environmental Information Center in Helena. This even is free and open to the public Tuesday April 26th from 7 to 8:30 pm. The first annual Missoula Summer Carnival is holding auditions for any entertainers such as jugglers, magicians, acrobats, and other performance artists for an all day, all volunteer Carnival Extravaganza on June 12th at Caras Park. Auditions begin Saturday April 30th at 1pm at 1900 West Broadway, Missoula, MT. Register by Friday april 29th by calling 549-8269.



The Documentary “Trudell” chronicles the legendary Native American poet and activist John Trudell's travels, spoken word, performances and politics. Starring John Trudell, Robert Redford, Kris Kristofferson, and Sam Shepard. Thursday April 28th at 7pm in the University Center Theater in Missoula.
