Burke is the author of 29 novels, including Rain Gods, Swan Peak, The Tin Roof Blowdown, Pegasus Descending, and The Lost Get-Back Boogie, which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. He's also published two short story collections.

Burke is the winner of two Edgar Awards and was named Grand Master by the Mystery Writers of America.

James Lee Burke's eagerly awaited new novel, The Glass Rainbow, finds Detective Dave Robicheaux back in New Iberia, Louisiana, and embroiled in the most harrowing and dangerous case of his career. The Glass Rainbow is Burke's 18th Robicheaux novel.
