Today's Highlight: Today's University and Community Activities are sponsored by Yule Night on Broadway in Philipsburg. Featuring craft shows, Santa photos, bingo, refreshments at the shops, sleigh rides, a lighted parade and a Jingle Ball. The festivities will be held Friday, December 10, starting at 1 pm.
The annual “Spirit of Christmas” Christmas concert will be performed tomorrow evening, December 9th, beginning at 6:30 at Flathead High School in Kalispell. The concert will benefit CASA for Kids and the local food banks. Call 982-2511 for further details.
Anyone who is taking care of a friend or loved one is invited to join the Caregivers Support Group. The group will meet from 4:00 – 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 9th at the Caring with Kindness Adult Day Center, 805 West Spruce Street in Missoula. The Students for Peace and Justice at The University of Montana in Missoula invite the public to attend a screening of the films, “The Story of Cap and Trade,” “Nourish,” and “The Story of Bottled Water.” The screening will take place tomorrow night at 7:00 pm in the University Center Theatre on the mountain campus and will be followed by a discussion.
The final reading in the Fall 2010 Reading Series at The University of Montana in Missoula will be given by David Gates, author of the novels “Jernigan,” “Preston Falls” and the collection of stories, “The Wonders of the Invisible World.” The reading will be held this Friday evening at 7:00 pm in the Dell Brown Room of Turner Hall on the mountain campus.
