Welcome to The Write Question, a program that explores the world of writing and publishing in the Western United States. Our guest today is Lauren Kessler, writer, narrative journalist, and author of of literary nonfiction.

Lauren Kessler

Lauren Kessler has written six books of literary nonfiction, including Finding Life in the Land of Alzheimer's: One Daughter's Hopeful Story (formerly titled, Dancing With Rose).

Today's program is a discussion about that book -- the result of Kessler working in an Alzheimer's care facility for four and a half months -- recorded during the 2009 Montana Festival of the Book.

Lauren Kessler lives in Eugene, Oregon, with her writer husband and their three children.
