Today's Highlight: The Missoula County Park Board and the County commissioners will present the Park Steward Award to Mrs. Pat Keffeler at the Park Board meeting on Thursday December 10th at 1:30 pm in Room 201 of the Missoula County Courthouse. Mrs. Keffeler is being honored for her work on the Schmautz Park in Target Range. For further information call Lisa at 258-4716.

The Children’s Museum in Missoula is offering a class for parents titled “Ages 0-5 Survival Guide: Sweet Dreams. The class will be presented on Thursday Dec 10th from 6 to 7:30 pm at the museum and will address strategies for helping your child feel comfortable and safe as they learn to fall and stay asleep. The cost is $12 per couple, $10 for museum members. Call 721.7690 to register.

The University of Montana in Missoula is offering an Ecology Lecture. Peter and Rosemary Grant will lecture on Evolution in Darwin’s Finches based on their research in the Galapagos Islands. The lecture is free and open to the public and will be held in Room 110 of the Science Building call 243.5122 for more information.

The Butte-Silverbow Public Library is holding a book discussion group on Friday December 11th from 2 to 3 pm. The discussion will focus on Mt. Author Diane Smith’s book ‘Letters from Yellowstone”. The book is available at the reference desk. Call 723.3361 or visit the library for more information.

If you are a tuba player or an enthusiast of the music, ‘TubaChristmas” will be performing at the Southgate Mall in Missoula on Friday December 11th from 7 to 8:30 under the Clock. In Bozeman, a weekend celebration of regional writers, music and art is being offered by Hopa
mountain. Events will be held throughout the weekend December 11th to the 13th. Friday night will open with an introduction by Hopa Mountain Director Bonnie Sachatelllo-Sawyer. The remainder of the weekend will focus on games, art, interactive activities and meeting local authors. Call 586.2455 for additional information on location and schedules.
