Musicians' Spotlight for June 30, 2009 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Today's Highlight: John Floridis hosts Cloud Cult Since 1995, Cloud Cult have crafted sprawling, cathartic albums that have won them the attention of the New York Times, MTV, Spin, Billboard, and a devoted following of fans. Cloud Cult’s unique sound, which refuses to adhere to any single music genre, covers the spectrum of indie-rock to electronica to folk to classical. Their most recent album “Feel Good Ghosts” keeps the listener hanging from track to track as the lyrics belie Minowa’s wide-eyed and often boyish delivery of philosophical wanderings

Shawn Colvin, Patty Larkin, and Leo Kottke have all stopped by the Montana Public Radio studios to play a little and talk with Brian Kopper and John Floridis. Performers talk about the inspiration behind their music and what it's like to both create and perform the music.
Montana artists like Zoe Wood and Wilson & McKee get equal time. Each week, hosts Brian Kopper and John Floridis, composers and performers themselves, give listeners a glimpse into the lives and art of the modern day troubadour.
