Today's Highlight: WORD, Women’s Opportunity and Resource Development, Inc. celebrates its 20th Anniversary on Wednesday, September 3rd. The event is open to all and will run from 4 to 6pm, at 2525 Palmer St., suite 1 in Missoula. Meet the new directors, learn more about WORD and enjoy free refreshments. The Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theater will hold auditions for WONDERLAND today, September 2nd from 4 to 8pm at 526 Electric Avenue in Bigfork. Students from 2nd to 12th grade are invited to prepare a 30 second monologue for their audition. Call 837-4886 for more information.
There will be free classes offered by the American Council on Criminal Justice Training tonight, September 2nd in Missoula. Child safety and character building classes are open to anyone 5 to 17 and begin at 6pm. Women’s safety classes are open to all women and begin at 7:30pm. Persian Visions: Contemporary Iranian Photography opens at the Missoula Art Museum in Missoula this week with a reception and Gallery Talk on Friday, September 5th at 7pm. This event is free and open to the public. Call 728-0447 for more information.
The Ravalli County Caregiver Conference is Thursday, September 18th from 8:30 am to 4:30pm. The conference is open to all caregivers from homemakers to Personal Care Attendants and hospice personnel and is completely free. It will be held at the Bitterroot River Inn in Hamilton and participants must register by September 5th. Call 327-4594 to register.
In Butte, the National Center for Appropriate Technology hosts its Electronics Recycling event on September 4th from 10am until 6:30pm. This event is open to anyone wishing to recycle old electronics from computer systems to televisions. It is at NCAT’s offices, 3040 Continental Dr. in Butte. Call 494-8649 for more information.
The Poverello Center of Missoula will have its 3rd annual Double Haul on September 6th. It is a catch and release fly fishing fundraiser that includes guided floats on the Blackfoot, Bitterroot or Clark Fork River. Call 728-1809 for reserve your boat.

The University of Montana’s Department of Anthropology is looking for individuals aged 18 to 25 to share their knowledge and attitudes about the internet and drug use in paid interviews for a study on the subject. Call 243-5547 for more information.
