The Jamaican-born pianist Monty Alexander pays tribute to his West Indian heritage with an evening of calypsos, mentos, and sun-kissed improvisations in the Allen Room. Get caught up in the lilting rhythms of Lord Invader, Sir Lancelot, and other West Indian royalty.
Jazz at Lincoln Center's Peabody Award–winning radio series, Jazz From Lincoln Center, is hosted by Wynton Marsalis and broadcast weekly to over 240 public radio affiliates nationwide through the Jazz Satellite Network. The show features the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra along with contemporary jazz composers and performers.
