Musicians' Spotlight for June 03, 2008 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Today's Highlight: John Floridis hosts Catie Curtis Since the mid-90s, Curtis has toured the U.S. and Europe extensively and released 10 recordings nationally. Curtis' style is rootsy and folky but with the rhythmic undercurrent of pop/rock music. Curtis is known for her compelling melodies, relaxed grooves, and subject matter ranging from philosophical to political, romantic to maternal. Her songs have appeared in television shows as diverse as Grey's Anatomy, Dawson's Creek, Felicity, and Alias, and films such as 500 Miles to Graceland and A Slipping Down Life.

Shawn Colvin, Patty Larkin, and Leo Kottke have all stopped by the Montana Public Radio studios to play a little and talk with Brian Kopper and John Floridis. Performers talk about the inspiration behind their music and what it's like to both create and perform the music.
Montana artists like Zoe Wood and Wilson & McKee get equal time. Each week, hosts Brian Kopper and John Floridis, composers and performers themselves, give listeners a glimpse into the lives and art of the modern day troubadour.
