Today's Highlight: Asra Nomani talks about how the growing Islamic fundamentalism, beginning in the 1970s, affected her. We also look at what all religious fundamentalisms have in common, why they've become more powerful, and how they affect women.
In Other Words is a one-hour program from a feminist perspective. Several women share production responsibilities for the show, with a different one taking the lead each week. The shows may feature interviews about women’s issues, music by women singer/songwriters, or lectures by notable women from around the planet. Topics have ranged from eco-feminism to non-nuclear proliferation.
