Today's Highlight: "Just Stop, Be Still -- And There You Are," with Gangaji
We go to workshops. We read good books. We sit on our cushions and meditate. We listen to New Dimensions broadcasts, all in hopes of finding peace, an end to suffering…enlightenment. Why does it all seem so complicated? Spiritual teacher Gangaji says, quite simply, it's not. "We have very developed, evolved brains," she explains, "and they have an enormous capacity for complexity. And that's beautiful. There's nothing wrong with that. But it can be a trap. In our minds, in our capacity to discriminate and to remember a past and to project a future and to have opinions and judgments, there is generally an overlooking of what's always here." With her quiet grace, Gangaji invites us to move beyond the complications, beyond the mental chatter and the emotional turmoil, and discover what lies beneath it all. In this inspiring conversation, she helps us recognize the constant presence that is our truest self, where we can find true love and joy at any moment. And yes-it really is that simple. (Hosted by Justine Willis Toms)

Since 1973, New Dimensions has been exploring the landscape of possibilities of a more just, sustainable and compassionate world by having deep dialogues with individuals who are actively making a creative contribution in the world.

New Dimensions has interviewed hundreds of the greatest minds on the planet such as the late mythologist Joseph Campbell, poet Maya Angelou and physicist David Bohm. It has featured Pulitzer prize winners E.O. Wilson from Harvard and poet/ecologist Gary Snyder.

Primarily the medium used to communicate these ideas is radio. New Dimensions national series is heard, for the most part, on National Public Radio affiliates and other public stations. This flagship series airs weekly on over 350 stations around the U.S. and another 300 stations in Australia on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. It can also be heard 24/7 here on the New Dimensions website.
