Today's Highlight: Frances Moore Lappe talks with Janet Scott about her latest book, Getting a Grip: clarity, creativity and courage in a world gone mad." Specifically, they discuss why we as societies are creating a world that we as individuals abhor -- and how we can move toward living democracy.
In Other Words is a one-hour program from a feminist perspective. Several women share production responsibilities for the show, with a different one taking the lead each week. The shows may feature interviews about women’s issues, music by women singer/songwriters, or lectures by notable women from around the planet. Topics have ranged from eco-feminism to non-nuclear proliferation.
