Today's Highlight: The Montana Natural History Center of Missoula is holding a lecture Wednesday March 12th at 7PM with UM Graduate Student Katie Mally. The topic will be porcupines of the Bitterroot Valley. To learn more, call 327-0405.

The Red Cross is holding several blood drives around the state this week. Today, in Hamilton, you can donate at Grace Lutheran Church from 12:30 until 5:30 PM. Call 777-0707 to schedule an appointment. Tomorrow, Wednesday March 12th, in Kalispell, you can donate at the Flathead County Health Department from 10:30AM until 2:30PM. On Thursday March 13th, donations are being accepted in Libby from 10AM until 3PM at Libby High School. On Friday, March 14th, you can donate in Missoula at the American Red Cross from 10AM until 1PM. Call 543-6695 to make an appointment.

Missoula Community Access Television is holding a basic training session for those interested in making their own television show on Wednesday March 12th at 5:30PM. The workshop is free and open to the public. For more information, call 542-6628.

Meals on Wheels of Missoula is holding their annual Walk and Roll for Meals on Wheels this Saturday March 15th at the Southgate Mall. Participants collect donations in advance and then meet at the mall for two hours of activities. Registration information is available at Missoula Aging Services or you can call 728-7682 for the details.

The Aerie Literary Arts Magazine is holding their annual Citywide Poetry Slam this Wednesday at 7PM at the Elk’s Club in Missoula. The cost is 5 dollars for singles or 9 dollars for couples. Those who would like to read are encouraged to arrive early due to a limited number of slots. Call 728-2401 extension 8644 to learn more.

The YWCA of Missoula is accepting nominations for their annual “Salute to Women Awards”. If you know of a local woman that deserves recognition, the application is due March 21st. Call 543-6777 for more information.
