Two minutes of scientific information about the natural world presented by Joel Block and Deborah Byrd.
Earth & Sky is produced by EarthTalk Inc. of Austin, Texas. Earth & Sky was created in 1991 by the show's producer/host team, Deborah Byrd and Joel Block.
The show presents topics from a variety of sources: including established ideas in science; new discoveries in astronomy, earth and environmental sciences; and one or two listener questions per week. Earth & Sky has a review committee of over 100 scientists. Each script is sent to several reviewers who help ensure the show's scientific accuracy before it is recorded.
The program is currently funded by grants from a variety of contributors including the National Science Foundation, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the U.S. Forest Service.
