Welcome to The Write Question, a program that explores the world of writing and publishing in the western United States. Our guest today is author Stan Cohen from Missoula, Montana.

Cohen worked at Snow Bowl ski area near Missoula during the 1960s and ‘70s. After owning a ski and sporting goods store for several years, Cohen started Pictorial Histories Publishing Company. His first skiing book was published in 1976. Five more books about skiing followed, including his latest, Downhill In Montana: Early Day Skiing in the Treasure State and Yellowstone National Park.
Cohen is one of the founding members of the International Ski History Association and served on the U.S. Ski Hall of Fame selection committee for several years.
