Today's Highlight: Daniel Barenboim always championed the music of American composer Elliott Carter. He conducts the world premiere of Carter’s “Soundings” in this program, along with evocations of Spain by Manuel de Falla and Maurice Ravel. We finish our 2007 broadcasts with Schubert’s great Symphony No. 9.
