Today's Highlight: Santa will be visiting the Carousel in Missoula on December 22nd from 9 to 10:30 am for breakfast. Kids can tell Santa what they want for Christmas, ride the carousel and have a light meal. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children and under 3 are free. Reservations are encouraged by calling 549-8382. This event is co-sponsored by First Security Bank.

As part of First Night Missoula, the public library and children’s theatre will partner for a Teen Arts Group performance of “Alexander Hamilton: In Worlds Unknown” with performances on Monday, December 31st at 6 and 7 pm. at the Missoula Children’s Theatre. First Night admission charges apply. Call 721-2665 with any questions.

Take back the bridge will be sponsored by Forward Montana and the Jeanette Rankin Peace Center tonight from 5:30 to 6 pm at the California Street Walking Bridge. This candle light vigil will be a time for reflection and a memorial to the brutal murder of Missoulian, Forrest Clayton Salcido. Call 542-8683 for more information.

The International Student Exchange Program is a non profit group in which high school students attend schools abroad for either an academic year, semester or summer program and visit places like Europe, Canada, Mexico, China, Japan, Australia, or Taiwan. If you are a small business owner and need to know how to be ready for getting your tax return prepared, attend a workshop co-sponsored by the Small Business Administration. The workshop will be held at the Business Development Center in Butte and will be held on January 15th from noon to one. Cost is free, but pre-registration is required by call 782-7333 ext 300.

The Scottish Right Masons invites the public to help Missoula Kids keep warm this winter by supporting “one hundred percent for kids” This 25 year old program serves needy kids in Missoula by providing them with warm, decent clothing for winter. On Thursday, at 1st Interstate Bank from noon to 4 pm in Missoula and St. Patrick Hospital from 10 to 1 and in Eureka at the Catholic Church from noon to 5. On Friday, the 28th, in Missoula at the Red Cross, Stevensville at Feed and Farm from noon to 4 and Kalispell at the 3 Rivers Bank from noon to 4.
