Today's Highlight: Thomas Quasthoff is the bass-baritone in Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder, written just two years after Ravel wrote his Pavane for a Dead Princess. At the same time Mahler was writing the songs, he was also working on his Fifth Symphony. Daniel Barenboim conducts this concert from May, 2006.
