Today's Highlight: Judy Blunt

Welcome to The Write Question, a program that explores the world of writing and publishing in the western United States. Our guest today is author Judy Blunt from Missoula, Montana.

Judy Blunt

In addition to writing nonfiction and poetry, Blunt teaches in the creative writing program at the University of Montana. Her first book, Breaking Clean, won the Penjerard Fund Award; Mountains and Plains Nonfiction Book Award; Willa Cather Literary Award; and was one of The New York Times' Notable Books. Blunt has also received a Whiting Writers Award and a writer's fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Her essays and poems have appeared in such publications as The New York Times, Big Sky Journal, Oprah Magazine, and in two collections: Kiss Tomorrow Hello, and Women of a Certain Age. Her current work-in-progress is supported by a Guggenheim Fellowship.
