Musicians' Spotlight for October 30, 2007 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Today's Highlight: "John Floridis hosts The Indigo Girls" (Part 2) John Floridis, along with guest co-host Missoula recording artist Amy Martin, visit in studio with the Indigo Girls for part two of a two part program. Twenty years after they began releasing records as Indigo Girls, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have politely declined the opportunity to mellow with age. You could just say it's just not in their constitution. Devoted environmental and social justice activists and lifelong music-industry mavericks, the Girls have spent their entire career pushing boundaries on a variety of fronts.

Shawn Colvin, Patty Larkin, and Leo Kottke have all stopped by the Montana Public Radio studios to play a little and talk with Brian Kopper and John Floridis. Performers talk about the inspiration behind their music and what it's like to both create and perform the music.
Montana artists like Zoe Wood and Wilson & McKee get equal time. Each week, hosts Brian Kopper and John Floridis, composers and performers themselves, give listeners a glimpse into the lives and art of the modern day troubadour.
