Today's Highlight: As of Now: Jason Moran —The vocabulary of jazz piano expands in the hands of Jason Moran. His postmodern approach offers sudden leaps from early stride styles to explosions of abstract expressionism. This show features the brainy alto sax man Greg Osby in a duet with Moran and, with Taurus Mateen (bass) and Nasheet Waits (drums) in the bombastic trio Bandwagon.
Jazz at Lincoln Center's Peabody Award–winning radio series, Jazz From Lincoln Center, is hosted by Wynton Marsalis and broadcast weekly to over 240 public radio affiliates nationwide through the Jazz Satellite Network. The show features the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra along with contemporary jazz composers and performers.
