Today's Highlight: Presidents Lecture - Bill McKibbin
Bill McKibben, environmental writer and Middlebury scholar-in-residence,
on: "Crossing Thresholds: The Environment as a Moral Issue."
McKibben's most recent book, "Enough: Staying Human in an Engineered Age," reports and muses on human genetic engineering and nanotechnology. In this talk, he calls for a reduced human footprint on Earth by juxtaposing the concept of 'designer genes' with that of global warming, the topic of his 1989 book, "The End of Nature")

Recorded March 15th, 04, as part of the President's Lecture Series at U.M.
