Today's Highlight: Presidents Lecture - Bill McKibbin Bill McKibben, environmental writer and Middlebury scholar-in-residence,
on: "Crossing Thresholds: The Environment as a Moral Issue."
McKibben's most recent book, "Enough: Staying Human in an Engineered Age," reports and muses on human genetic engineering and nanotechnology. In this talk, he calls for a reduced human footprint on Earth by juxtaposing the concept of 'designer genes' with that of global warming, the topic of his 1989 book, "The End of Nature")
