Morning Classics for July 05, 2004 8:10 AM - 10:00 AM
Today's Highlight: Mozart: Piano Quartet #2 in E-b, K493; Beethoven: Serenade in D, op 8 for Flute and Piano; Debussy: Petite Suite; Poulenc: Sonata 1918 for two Pianos; Messiaen: Le Merle Noir; Brahms: String Quintet in G, op 111.
The classical section of the Montana Public Radio music library is an amazing resource, and Terry Conrad uses it fully. He's been selecting the Morning Classics music for over 30 years. His approach is eclectic and educational. You may hear a piece for solo tuba, next to a Mozart sonata. And contemporary composers and those lesser known get equal time with the masters.
Morning Classics is hosted by William Marcus, Susan Israel, Linda Talbott, Michael Marsolek, and Tom Cook .
