Tonight on Montana Evening Edition; Monday, November12th
The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve agency commemorated its 40th anniversary earlier this year. The ESGR is a Department of Defense Agency promoting open communication between employers and the men and women who serve in the Guard and Reserve. In this evening's feature interview, ESGR Montana State Chair, Michael Flaherty, tells Edward O'Brien the government does everything it can to make that relationship between employer and service member work as smoothly as possible.

Feature Interview with Genevieve Chabot
The challenge young girls and women face in Pakistan was dramatically illustrated recently, when a 14-year-old Pakistani girl was shot in the head by the Taliban for advocating for the education of girls in her country. She survived, but the struggle for girls' education continues. Bozeman resident Genevieve Chabot and her husband Doug have started a nonprofit fund that helps Pakistani families be able to afford to send their girls to school. In this feature interview, Chabot tells News Director Sally Mauk her interest in the issue began when her mountaineer husband Doug first introduced her to the remote northern region of Pakistan..
