Tonight on Montana Evening Edition; Thursday, November 29th
To look at 5-year-old Jada Bascom today, you'd never know she was once a very sick little girl. Her chances for a long life were slim at best when she was diagnosed with leukemia at 7 months. Jada needed a bone marrow transplant. Her doctors found no matches in North America and they were quickly running out of options. Her salvation came from a young bone marrow donor from southern Germany. His cells were virtually a perfect match. Jada's now in remission and attending kindergarten in Billings. The two families eventually met and are now touring the Northwest encouraging potential bone marrow donors. Their story tonight on Montana Evening Edition...
